Changes the migration policy of the European Union (2015–2020): analysis some consequences

Abstract

This article analyses the specifics of migration policy provided by the centralized institutions of the European Union during the recent migration crisis faced by the EU due to the sharp increase in refugee flows. In our time, more and more researchers and experts indicate that centralized institutions of the EU are often not able to conduct adequate crisis realities of migration policies, especially with the fundamental and system-forming principles of European integration, especially such as solidarity and fair distribution of load. Failures on this path create the risk of partial or even full discreditation of those basic principles that were laid down in the very basis of the European Union, such as hospitality and respect for human rights or subordinate to solidarity. Existing trends indicate that the differences between political strategies adopted at the all-Union level, and practice, especially at the national level, have only deepened, which in turn prompted a number of member states of the European Union to return to practical action in the spirit of classical political realism. This article, in particular, is intended to demonstrate as in several areas of the EU migration policy, a number of member states eventually made a choice in favor of the pragmatic realization of their interests, symbolically donating compliance with pan European principles.
